In Assassin's Creed Odyssey (ACO), there are many ways to obtain legendary gear. Followers of Kosmos, legendary animals or even hidden chests, the solutions are therefore multiple.
Les Adeptes de Cosmos
After each assassination of a follower of the Cult of Kosmos you will receive a piece of legendary equipment. Each branch of the cult has its own legendary set:

The hidden chests
Besides the legendary sets you can get through Kosmos followers, there are hidden chests that contain legendary gear.
→ Hidden chests are represented by red circles.
Chests are recognizable by their golden appearance and can also be spotted by Ikaros.
→ Attica: in the temple of the sacred plain Demeter,
→ Attica: Silver mountain, hidden high up in the mine.
→ Argolis: Palace of Agamemnon
→ Argolis: Argos
→ Arkadia: Cradle of Pan
→ Lakonia : Sparte, temple d'Athena
→ Lakonia: Dioskouroi Peninsula
→ Malis: Pandora's Cove
→ Macedonia: Underwater in a cave.

legendary animals
Legendary animals can give you a piece of legendary equipment once killed, to unlock the quests that will reward you for their death you will first have to talk to Daphnae close Temple of Artemis en Phokis. The latter will give you your first target, once killed bring him his skin and you can start your hunt.
