Black Ops Cold War, the name of the next Call of Duty?
Following the appearance of The Red Door on the Xbox Store, players may have discovered that the code name for this new episode was " Call of Duty: Black Ops CIA ". As Charlie Intel relays, this is by no means the final name, which is expected to be announced soon by Activision. However it is not impossible that the next Call of Duty bears the name of Cold War. According to many rumors this opus would be part of the Black Ops series and would take place during the Cold War (1945-1991).

The campaign missions and maps of the next Call of Duty
Although no announcement has yet been made by Activision, some dataminers have been able to explore the internal alpha files, available on the Microsoft Store. As Charlie Intel points out, the names presented below are still code names but can nevertheless give clues to the next Call of Duty.
Campaign Missions | Multiplayer Maps |
KGB (Russian) | Black Sea |
Headquarters (Russia) | Cartel clock |
Yamantau (Russia) | KGB |
Takedown (Mission annexe) | Miami |
Tundra (Side Mission) | Moscow |
Hub (Germany) | Satellite |
Hub 8 (Germany) | Tank |
Stakeout (Germany) | Tundra |
Armada (Vietnam) | Zones for a Battle Royale? |
Prisoner (Vietnam) | Duga |
Revolution (Nicaragua) | Forest |
America (Russia) | Russia |
Duga (Russia) | Ski Slopes |
Although no images could be datamined at this time, the many missions in Russia and Germany suggests that the game will take place during the Cold War, the two countries being at the center of American concerns at that time.
Different mentions of zones also suggest that a Battle Royale will also be part of the next Call of Duty. However, it is not impossible that this one will come out a little later, like Warzone for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
