Footprints Quest not working?

If the Crown Tundra Footprints quest isn't working for you, there's a reason why. You must have already faced Zacian or Zamazenta in the main story before you can access the quest.

How many fingerprints should you collect?

Each Pokémon has 50 sets of footprints that you need to find. Each set represents a 2% boost for that Pokemon, and there are a total of 150 Footprint sets (since there are three Pokemon to find).

What do the footprints look like?

Footprints do not display as glittering dots; they look like two footprints in the ground with colors matching their respective owners:

  • blue for the cobalion
  • Green for Virizion
  • Brown for Terrakion.

Cobalion footprints are more likely to appear in the eastern part of the Crown Tundra. Explore the frigid sea region, as well as the roaring sea caves, three-point pass, and surrounding locations.

Pokemon Crown Tundra Grassland Footprints

Virizion's footprints are scattered around the Giant's Bed area and Frostpoint Field.

Pokemon Crown Tundra Cavern Footprints

Terrakion footprints are found in the southern regions of Crown Tundra. Check the Lakeside Cave, Lake Ballimere, and the area around the Dyna Tree.

What To Do After Collecting 50 Pokemon Footprints

After finding 50 footprints for one of the Pokemon, return to Sonia. She will tell you where you can find this Pokémon.

Travel to this location and they will appear like any other Legendary Pokemon. Each of these legendary pokemon is level 70, so be sure to come prepared.

Location of Pokemon Crown Tundra Keldeo

With all three Pokemon Swords of Justice in tow, return to Sonia once again. Then head to Lake Ballimere.

Look for a small island with a pot on it and cook some curry. It doesn't matter the type, but if you want to follow a curry recipe, we have plenty.

Leave the campsite after eating the curry and your child gains experience. Keldeo will spawn nearby and you'll know what to do from there. It's a water/fighting hybrid, so Virizion is a good fit here.
