There's so much to do in the latest Pokémon Sword and Shield expansion, the Crown Tundra. We hope you've stocked up on Ultra Balls because there are plenty of Legendary Pokemon to capture. We say a lot, but each is available in the DLC. However, some are harder to find than others, and no one has caught them all yet! It's surprising how many varied ways you can encounter them, from solving puzzles, Dynamax Adventures, to even finding them meandering through the icy region!
How to find a Victini
The way to get Victini in Crown Tundra is currently unknown at this time, but we know they are in the game. Even dataminers are having trouble determining the location of the mythical Fire-Psychic type Pokémon. Victini has given all players the cold shoulder since the DLC launched last week.
All dataminers have discovered that Victini is in-game, but as a static encounter in the world. Potentially, this could mean several things, either you can find Victini somewhere in the area wandering around, at a certain time, or in certain weathers, even both. That's a lot of parameters to try and find out where the mythical Pokemon is hiding.
The other method is you can get it from an NPC to complete a very vague storyline or something. Yet again, it could fall within the parameters above. Nobody knows yet.
However, if you're really aiming for that 100% Pokédex in the game, you have no choice but to wait for Victini. If you have one in Pokémon Home, you can trade them for Pokémon Sword or Shield, or maybe a friend will trade you one.
There is a rumor that Victini will be rewarded in the Galarion Star Tournament, which makes sense since Victini is the Victory Pokémon, but alas, nothing has been confirmed yet. If the dataminers can't find the location, all we can do is wait for more information.
