Epic games will have to pay 520 million to the FTC
Epic games, the company that created Fortnite, and FTC have this afternoon come across an agreement obliging Epic's company to spend 275 million for breaking the law CUP the United States (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).
This law concerns the collection by natural or legal persons (under the jurisdiction of the United States) of information about minors 13 years of age or younger. This is the first time that the amount has been so high for a sentence relating to this law.
They will also have to spend 245 million Americans to reimburse players who are victims of these so-called "obscure" Epic Games billing practices.
