Expeditions: Rome – How to have sex with companions

Expeditions: Rome has romance options available based on certain actions and responses throughout the campaign, as well as your main character's gender. There are even more love bonds to be made with various other characters throughout the game.

Your five companions become an integral part of your travels. In addition to the main character, you will have a team of six who can take on enemies in numerous skirmishes. However, your interactions could lead to something else that is… something more.

This Expeditions: Rome guide will tell you how to seduce your companions and what to keep in mind when making dialogue choices.

Expeditions: Romantic Options in Rome

At a glance, it looks like four of the five Expeditions: Rome companions can be romanticized. But your romance options depend on the gender of your main character, which you choose at the start of the campaign.

  • Julia: Can be romanticized by a male character.
  • Caeso: Can be romanced by a male character.
  • Bestia: Can be romanticized by a female character.
  • Deianeira: Can be romanticized by a female character.
  • Syneros: A trusted advisor safe from your charms.

Expeditions: Rome – How to have sex with companions

As far as we know, companion romance options in Expeditions: Rome are triggered at certain points in the campaign. When this happens, you should see a dialog option with a heart icon. Here are two examples:

  • Julia: After completing the Temple of Apollo objectives in Act 1, you will be asked to infiltrate the Mithradates War Camp. You and Julia will have to be disguised as Pontic soldiers. You can then respond with, “You, on the other hand, make everything look good. »
  • Caeso: After recruiting Deianeira from the Gladiator School in Act 1, you can talk to Caeso in your Legion's camp. You can respond with, “I hope you're not thinking of making a pass at her. I would hate to have competition for your attention. »

If you avoid choosing the first flirtatious dialogue option, there should be another opportunity later. For example, Caeso helped us when we were attacked by thugs in an alley in Rome, and there was another romance option available.

However, we chose to focus on our character's romance with Julia Calida. Much later in Act 1, there was a trigger for a random event called "The Hunt". We chose kind responses, including the following:

  • [Stay back and let Julia take the shot.]
  • "Do you want me to wear it?
  • “I've missed you all these years since Greece. »
  • “If you give me a chance…”
  • “You have been hurt in the past…”
  • [Pull her gently into your tent.]

Some romance choices will earn light approval from all companions, while others will receive strong approval. Other than that, completing a Companion Romance will net you the “Amore Vincit Omnia” achievement.

Finally, we've seen that some unique NPCs also have a romance prompt, so keep an eye out for other romance options that aren't your circle of companions.
