The exit from the Sumeru region on Genshin impact allows players to access several new quests which can be world, story or Archons and among the set of added missions are Lost in the sands.

|How to complete the Lost in the Sands quest in Genshin Impact?
If you want to get this quest, you will first have to go to Aaru Village in order to talk to Bonifaz who gives you this mission as you can see in the following image.
He then entrusts you with the Golden Sleep quest, the first step of which is to follow the footprints to find the trail of the archeology team. At the end of the track you go reach a huge pit. Below, you will find that there is a white tent on your right and you just need to reach it to continue your quest.
Arriving at this tent, you will start another step that requires talk to the three nearby people, then to a fourth person a little further marked with a blue icon. The conversion completed, follow Jeht's trail and continue exploring the ruins. You have to follow the corridor and activate the different mechanisms on your way. After a while, you will be able to find Jeht and you have to continue exploring until reach a strange mechanism.
Interact with it, then report your find to Jebrael. After reporting what you saw, you will have to talk to different characters to start further exploration to find an exit. You just have to follow the directions given to get out of the pit and the ruins. This will complete the Lost in the Sands quest, which is the first part of the “Golden Sleep” world quest.
