The Golden Cookie is a special cookie that can appear randomly during gameplay. Once it appears, players will have 13 seconds to click on it before it disappears. Clicking on it will grant the player a random effect that will somehow increase their cookie production.

You can increase how often golden cookies appear and how long they stay on screen before disappearing. The Golden Cookie can also be replaced with a Red Wraith Cookie depending on what stage of the Grandmapocalypse they are on. Clicking on this cookie will cause a random negative effect. During the Grandmapocalypse Wrath phase or if Skruuia is selected in the Hall of Fame, all naturally spawning Gold Cookies will be Red Wrath Cookies instead.
In the statistics menu, the player can see how many Golden Cookies he has clicked. If the player wants to see how many Golden Cookies they have missed, they can type Game.missedGoldenClicks into the console.
