Arknights, a tower defense game that drains Hypergryph's sanity, challenges players to come up with some of the most mind-blowing strategies to complete stages and earn rewards. As a gacha game with a limited-energy mechanic, Arknights features two premium currencies—Originite Prime and Orundum—to help you hunt powerful operators, restore sanity, purchase outfits, and more.
But don't worry, you can earn those two coveted currencies even without spending a penny. Find out how below.
Premium Origin
Originite Prime is a very valuable currency as it can buy furniture, outfits, and even replenish sanity. Additionally, you can redeem an Originite Prime for 180 Orumdum at any time, so it's best to hold onto them until you're sure what you want to buy. You can get Originite Primes in-game through the following methods.
Clear Steps—Normal Mode
Completing any stage with three stars on Normal difficulty for the first time will grant you an Originite Prime, a one-time reward that does not apply if you complete the same stage again. To get three stars, you must complete the stage with no enemy leaks.
End of Stages - Challenge Mode

After completing three-star Normal mode, you can unlock Challenge mode, which is a more difficult derivative of the stage. The stage will contain high difficulty conditions, such as buffed enemies, limited operator use, or even blocked tiles. Successfully completing the Challenge Mode stages will each grant you an Originite Prime.
Clear Event Steps
Events are amazing for Originite Prime farming as they are usually structured with Normal, EX, and EX-Challenge stages. While these steps can be difficult to complete, bypassing them can net you between 20 and 30 Bounties per event.
More importantly, the event stages are reset with each replay. For example, if you participate in the Under Tides event, and it was to repeat six months later, you can complete the stages again and still earn an Originite Prime each.

Orundum
Orundum is Arknight's headhunting currency, which you can use to try your luck at finding high rarity Operators. Each Headhunting session costs 600 Orundum, while a 10-pull costs 6. Orundum cannot convert to Originite Primes, so think twice before making this conversion! On the plus side, there are plenty of ways to earn Orundum in the game.
Commendation Store

The Commendation Store, where you can spend Green Certificates (earned by recruiting one- to four-star duplicate Operators), sells Orundum at the first and third tiers.
First level
- 100 Orundum
- Six actions
- 40 certificates of commendation each
Third level
- 100 Orumdum
- Unlimited inventory
- 50 certificates of commendation each
Missions
Completing 10 daily missions will give you 100 Orundum, while 10 weekly missions will give you 500 Orundum. That's 1 Orundums a week just by playing the game casually! Don't forget to pick them up from the Mission menu, as they reset with the server the next day.

Annihilation

Some Annihination Operations give a one-time reward from Orundum after getting a certain number of kills. Check the Collect button next to the redemption rules to view the Orundum conditions and reward for a particular stage.
In addition to the one-time reward, completing Annihilation stages will also grant Orundum based on how many enemies you defeat. A weekly Orundum cap limits the number of times you can get the currency by completing these stages – increase it up to 1 by clearing more spin stages.
Beginner Tip: Complete the easiest annihilation stage you can do without a support unit to unlock auto-deploy. This will allow you to farm weekly Orundums without touching more difficult stages.
Paradox Simulation

Paradoxical simulations are steps related to certain operators. Naturally, you can only access these stages if you own one, a list that keeps growing as Arknights updates. Clearing a Paradox Simulation will earn 200 Orundums on your first clear.
Base

You can craft Orundum through the base with a factory and a trading post, both at minimum level 3.
First, produce Origin Fragments via the factory with one of these formulas:
- x2 Orirock Cube and 1600 LMD
- Device x1 and 1 LMD
It takes x3 Capacity and one hour to produce an Originium Fragment. After, you can take these shards to the Trading Post, where you need to set your trading strategy to trade Originium shards. Two Originium Shards will net you 20 Orundum, and you can have seven Orders queued at once.
Keep in mind that the Sanity cost of crafting Orundum isn't ideal, so consider other farming methods instead if you're a free player.
