Battle companions are very useful during dungeon raids and boss fights in Swords of Legends Online. Currently, there are three combat companions in the game that can be unlocked at different points in the main storyline. You should be able to unlock the first two companions before you reach Student 1, and later you can find the third. They are:

  • Yilang
  • Li Lingshuang
  • Wu Mang |

You can unlock your first companion named Yilang after completing the "Battle in Royal Court IV" quest, where you need to defeat General Wuzhao Wu Yeyu in the Yemo City dungeon, which is your very first in-game dungeon. Alternatively, you can complete any quest in the Heavenly Ridge Pass area.

After completing this quest, you must return to Wucai Village and report on your work. This will unlock the first Battle Companion.

In order to unlock the second companion, Li Lingshuang, you must reach level 30 and complete the "Zhongnan Foothills" quest in Chapter 6.

The third companion, Wu Mang, can be unlocked after completing the "Jiangdu: Shanghuai Grassland" quest in Chapter 9.

Once your companions are unlocked, you can summon them to help you on various quests.

You'll notice a summon button above your hotbar that you can click at any time in-game to open the Companions menu. The cooldown between summons will take around 10-15 minutes in real time.

  • Select the Add Battle Companion option
  • Choose a companion from the list
  • Confirm by pressing Select
  • Press the Start Attack button
  • However, this method may not work in some areas and the Summon Companion button will be inactive.

  • Click on the Enter instance option
  • Select the Add Battle Companion option
  • Choose a companion from the list
  • Confirm by pressing Select
