Since the beta of Fortnite on mobile in 2018, the Epic Games game did not set foot on Android's PlayStore (Google Play). The reason ? The publisher did not want donate 30% of the revenue generated on Fortnite via Android, as required by the rules imposed by the platform. But almost two years later, Epic Games seems to be backtracking as Fortnite is now available for download on PlayStore.

This turnaround in the business situation should not have a significant impact on players since the game itself is not changing. However, this risks bringing back a larger casual audience who only use the PlayStore to install applications on their phones. Will Epic Games be a winner? Hard to say but it is possible that the publisher negotiated a better % with Android. This answer is of course unknown.

How to download Fortnite on Android and the PlayStore?
