With the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War zombie mode has returned. Regularly updated in the same way as the multiplayer or Warzone, zombie mode has recently benefited from the addition of Outbreak. The goal remains the same: survive waves of zombies.

How to escape in zombie mode on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War?
As in previous episodes, the goal of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's zombie mode will be to resist successive waves of increasingly powerful zombies. However when the players see that they will no longer be able to cope, they can request an exfiltration. Here's how exfiltration works in Cold War's zombie mode (source).
- From the 10th wave players will be able to request exfiltration.
- The exfiltration will then be available every 5 rounds (15, 20, 25, 30 etc). It is therefore necessary to plan a little in advance.
- To exfiltrate it is necessary go to the center of the map and find a crate that will call in a helicopter. The radio icon will let you know where to go in rounds where exfiltration is possible.
- A few waves will try to overcome the players while they wait for the helicopter. Be careful, these waves are not easy!
Outbreak mode also has an exfiltration mode. In this more open zombie mode players must accomplish different objectives (defense, elimination, escort etc) (source). Once the experiment has been completed, players will have to choose between exfiltration and continuing through a mysterious portal. The exfiltration then works on the same principle as that explained above: join the indicated area, eliminate the zombies on the spot and wait for the helicopter to land to climb inside.
