Legendary Pokemon are always a treat to find, especially when you least expect them. If you play Crown Tundra blind without knowing anything about it, you might get a lot of shock because you will find Legendary Pokemon everywhere! It's definitely a change of atmosphere when you expect to find higher level Caterpies and Pikachus, but you find Legendaries roaming the area instead! More so, when the game takes you to the past, and you can find the three legendary birds of the Kanto region!
Where to find Galarian Zapdos
To find Galarian Zapdos, you must first travel to Dyna Tree Hill, located at the southern tip of the Crown Tundra DLC. However, when you arrive, you will see the three birds fighting! As you try to get a better view, all three see you and immediately split up, heading to three different locations. Galarian Zapdos flew to the entrance of Motostoke City, back to the first major city in the Galar region.
Galarian Zapdos is the heaviest of the trio to be captured. Galarian Zapdos uses its incredible speed and runs away from you all over the Galar Wild Area. Like Galarian Moltres, it's better to see if you can get ahead and cut it; however, after a while of chasing it will eventually turn around and charge at you, ready to fight! You better have plenty of spare Ultraballs!
Since this Pokemon is of the Galarian form, don't expect it to be an Electric Flying type. Garlarian Zapdos is actually a Fight-Flight type (what a weird and wonderful combination), so plan before you fight him, and you'll do just fine capturing him. Once Galarian Zapdos has been captured, now is the time to capture the other two members of the trio, Galarian Moltres and Galarian Articuno!
