As players work their way through the ground floor of their backyard, they can gain 26 different perks. Each of these perks provides benefits to the player to help them survive. Although players can only keep three active at a time, we'll cover them all and how to get them.
Purchased Mutations

These are mutations that can be purchased from BURG.L's Tech Chip Swap shop with science. However, players will need to have certain location-based tokens in addition to their science points to purchase each one.
- Buff Lungs – Increases maximum stamina by 50%. Costs 7 science and requires the Anthill BURG.L chip.
- Daredevil – Reduces fall damage by 25% and will allow players to barely survive fatal falls. Costs 3 scientists and requires the Hedge chip BURG.L.
- Meat Shield – Increases max health by 50%. Costs 4 scientists and requires the Grasslands BURG.L chip.

Mutations and perks to unlock

These are perks and mutations that players will need to unlock with certain activities. Some require stacked events, while others are tied more to specific boss fights. Most of these perks have three levels though, requiring more player for each.
- Ant-nihilator – Increases damage against ants.
- Level 1 – Kill 50 ants to deal 5% more damage to them
- Tier Two – Kill 100 ants to deal 15% more damage to them
- Tier Three – Kill 200 ants to deal 25% more damage to them and become 10% more resistant to their attacks
- Assassin – Dagger attacks can cause bleeding effect and gain increased chance with each level.
- Level 1 – Kill 50 creatures with a dagger
- Level two – Kill 100 creatures with a dagger
- Level three – Kill 200 creatures with a dagger
- Barbarian – Mace attacks have a chance to enrage the character, causing them to deal more damage while unable to complete a perfect block.
- Level 1 – Kill 50 creatures with a club
- Level two – Kill 100 creatures with a club
- Level three – Kill 200 creatures with a club
- Blade Master – Sword attacks have a chance to restore weapon durability.
- Level 1 – Kill 50 creatures with a sword
- Level two – Kill 100 creatures with a sword
- Level three – Kill 200 creatures with a sword
- Cardio Fan – Increases base stamina regeneration.
- Level 1 – Exhaust the player 100 times to increase regeneration by 10%
- Tier Two – Exhaust the player 250 times to increase regeneration by 15%
- Tier Three – Exhaust the player 500 times to increase regeneration by 20%
- Chopper – Ax attacks have a chance to stun enemies.
- Level 1 – Kill 50 creatures with an ax
- Level two – Kill 100 creatures with an ax
- Level three – Kill 200 creatures with an ax
- Grass Strike – Increases critical strike chance.
- Tier One – Discover four Four Leaf Clover Landmarks to increase chance by 10%
- Tier Two – Roll a natural 20 on a 20-sided die in the Minotaur Labyrinth to increase the odds by 25%
- Cool Defense – Increases resistance to gas and burn damage, as well as reduces sizzle rate.
- Level 1 – Eat a piece of mint to increase resistances by 25%
- Level two – Eat five pieces of mint to increase resistances by 50%
- Tier Three – Eat 10 pieces of mint to increase resistances by 75%
- Grass Master – Increases cutting efficiency and restores stamina when used on grass.
- Tier 1 – Cut 50 blades of grass for a 25% boost
- Tier Two – Cut 200 blades of grass for a 50% boost
- Tier Three – Cut 500 blades of grass for a 100% boost
- Javelin - Spear attacks have a chance to paralyze enemies.
- Level 1 – Kill 50 creatures with a spear
- Tier two – Kill 100 creatures with a spear
- Level three – Kill 200 creatures with a spear
- Juicy – Hunger and Thirst decrease 50% slower once they discover all five Juice Boxes.
- Lil Fist - Unarmed attacks deal double damage, after players kill 50 mobs with their fists.
- Merteen – Increases swimming speed by 15% and underwater oxygen time by 10% when players discover three underwater landmarks.
- Mithridatism - Grants the player poison immunity for killing five wolf spiders.
- Mom Genes – All attacks have a chance to spawn friendly spiders. This is unlocked when players defeat the Hedge Broodmother.

- Natural Explorer – Increases movement speed.
- Level One – Discover five landmarks to increase sprint speed by 3%
- Tier Two – Discover 20 landmarks to increase sprint speed by 6%
- Tier Three – Discover 50 landmarks to increase sprint by 10%
- Parry Master – Perfect blocks refund stamina.
- Level 1 – Complete 20 Perfect Blocks
- Tier Two – Complete 60 Perfect Blocks
- Tier Three – Complete 100 Perfect Blocks
- Reliable Friend – Increases player revive speed.
- Level 1 – Revive a friend five times to increase speed by 15%
- Tier Two – Revive a friend 15 times to increase speed by 25%
- Tier Three – Revive a friend 30 times to increase speed by 40%
- Rock Cracker – Increase mining efficiency.
- Level 1 – Break 25 rocks to gain 25% efficiency
- Level Two – Break 75 rocks to gain 50% efficiency
- Level three: break 100 rocks to gain 100% efficiency
- Smasher – Hammer attacks have a chance to stun enemies.
- Level 1 – Kill 50 creatures with a hammer
- Level two – Kill 100 creatures with a hammer
- Level three – Kill 200 creatures with a hammer
- Spicy Saftey – Reduces crush and stab damage taken.
- Tier 1 – Eat Spicy Burst
- Level Two – Eat four Spicy Shards
- Truffle Tussle – Unarmed attacks have a chance to spawn Fungal Explosions. This mutation is obtained when players defeat the infected ladybug in the Haze Lab.
Players may find it difficult to narrow it down to just three mutations/perks active at a time. However, players should remember that Grounded is still in Early Access, so this list will likely change and grow over time as the game improves until its final official release.
