Stranded Alien Dawn, the survival game developed by Haemimont Games and published by Frontier Foundry is available in early access and received its first free update named Dunes And Moons, this December 1st.

We were able to test this update in preview and when it was released. Here is our opinion on this update.

Thoughtful additions

The Dunes and Moons Update, as indicated by his name, adds a desert biome, but also moons that will have different effects on your experience. In total, these are three additional moons that put you to the test with more or less regular appearances of creatures that will attack your camp or with effects on the Planet. Besides adding the moons and the desert area, you will also be entitled to a new survivor named Sora Satoh and who is a child of the desert.

A higher level of group management

Managing your group is even more complicated than before since the desert zone partially slows down the growth of your plantations, But also reduces soil fertility since you are in a desert. In addition, you will have few resources at your disposal with in particular a great lack of wood and now you need to think differently about building your base. Without forgetting that to these difficulties for survival is also added the cold that rages in the desert at night, which quickly forces you to make closed rooms with heating to ensure the well-being of your group.

Even more beautiful decorations

If in the game until now we had a lush forest area, now we have a beautiful desert. A map all in orange with the few green spaces and lakes gives quite a special experience as you can see in the following trailer.

In conclusion, Stranded Alien Dawn's free Dunes and Moons update is particularly successful and the additions made by the developers give additional challenge.
