How to Get Caliban in Warframe

How to Get Caliban in Warframe

The second Sentient Warframe, Caliban, brings a variety of alien abilities to battle for the Tenno.

Caliban isn't the most difficult framework to get, both in terms of time and resources, but it won't be a simple pick-up either. Expect to spend a minimum of just over three hours to a maximum of several days to get everything you need (depending on your luck and resource pool).

Obtain Caliban Components

Like the vast majority of frames (we're looking at you, Equinox), Caliban has only four main parts: its frame, its systems, its neurooptics, and its main plane. Its main blueprint can be purchased in the market for 50 credits, but its other parts require more time and effort.

You will need to complete The New War quest before you can even begin. You will need a Railjack and a Necramech to start the quest, as well as having completed the Prelude to War quest. You will also need more than four hours to complete it. We took about five hours to finish The New War skipping most of the cutscenes and playing poorly.

After completing The New War, you will find that a new type of bounty called Narmer Bounties will appear in Cetus and Fortuna at certain times. Narmer's bounties will spawn on Cetus while Cetus is daytime, while he will spawn in Fortuna while Cetus is nighttime.

The Narmer Bounty will be locked in a certain rotation for the duration of Cetus time such as day or night (so one and a half hours for day, fifty minutes for night). It has an A, B, and C rotation, all with set rewards. Caliban's Systems Blueprint is on Rotation A, his Chassis on Rotation B, and his Neuroptics on Rotation C.

At a minimum, since you'll have to wait for Cetus' day/night cycle, you'll have to wait between three and four hours to get all three parts - and that's only if he switches between all three rotations without repeats.

Caliban Building

Building Caliban is arguably just as boring as getting its components. To fully create Caliban, you will need:

  • 120 credits (Caliban blueprint purchase included)
  • Nine Anomaly Shards
  • 40 Narmer isoplasts
  • Ten neural sensors
  • 20 Eyes of Tralok
  • 20 horns of dead
  • Alloy 100 Hespazym
  • 30 Breath of Eidolon
  • 30 Hexanon
  • 12 Orokin cells

Of all these, the player is the least likely to have Narmer's Anomaly Fragments and Isoplasts.

Narmer Isoplasts are obtained by making Narmer bounties, just like Caliban components, but are not limited to a specific rotation. Just keep doing Narmer Bounties and eventually you'll get enough Isoplasts. We recommend doing Cetus Narmer bounties when possible as they seem to go faster overall.

Anomaly Fragments are a rare resource obtained by clearing a Murex during a Grineer controlled Veil Proxima Railjack mission. Murex will appear as flashing red nodes. Kill 20 Sentients aboard the Murex and you'll get a single Anomaly Fragment. However, if you have a Resource Booster or Smeeta Kavat with Charm, you can get multiple Anomaly Fragments at once.

Apart from these, there are a few resources that are remote but not difficult to obtain. You may already have most of them. Otherwise, the Warframe Wiki is your best friend.
