Hyper Scape Guide: Best Weapons List

Hyper Scape Guide: Best Weapons List

Hyper Scape has just entered its first season, and while the battle royale is only at the start of its lifecycle, that doesn't mean there aren't a number of weapons among which ones to choose – some better than others. Each player can carry up to two weapons, a primary weapon and a handgun, so it's important to consider several factors before deciding which weapon is best for you.

This tier list will give you an idea of the best weapons for each category, so you can easily decide which loadout to choose for your next ranked match.

S-rank weapons

Hexfire

  • Type: LMG
  • Head Damage: 6-7
  • Bodily damage: 4-5
  • Charger: 150-270

Hexfire, aka the Minigun, is the most obvious choice for the best weapon in Hyper Scape. It had a terrific run during the beta test, and it's still the best primary weapon to have in the game.

The latest patch for Hyper Scape increased Hexfire body damage from 3-4 to 4-5, but it also reduced the rate of fire from 1000 rpm to 900 rpm. Despite the changes, Hexfire is arguably the highest TTK (Time to Kill) weapon in Hyper Scape, and it doesn't look like that's going to change too soon.

Harpy

  • Type: SMG
  • Head Damage: 10-12
  • Bodily damage: 7-8
  • Charger: 30-45

Harpy is a real beast in the right hands. Its short but powerful bursts work great at close range, and since close quarters are a staple of Hyper Scape combat, you can use its close-range accuracy to great effect.

Its only drawback is its (really) small magazine, but this is compensated by an extremely fast reload time (no more than 2 seconds).

The Harpy is also the most mobile weapon in the game, which is perfect for all the sprints and jumps you'll do in Hyper Scape.

A-level weapons

Ripper

  • Type: Assault Rifle
  • Headshot Damage: 16-19
  • Bodily damage: 13-15
  • Charger: 23-36

Assault Rifles are notoriously good mid-range weapons, and between this AR and the Dragonfly, the Ripper is a clear winner.

It has almost no recoil so you can worry less about maintaining your aim at any distance. Its damage is high enough to warrant a small magazine, meaning you can easily land headshots directly and clear an entire area without reloading.

If you're looking for a universal approach weapon type, the Ripper is the best choice.

Riot One

  • Type: Pistol
  • Headshot Damage: 39-57
  • Bodily damage: 29-39
  • Charger: 6

This handgun revolver is incredibly accurate and the best weapon for performing headshots up close. However, Riot One is not a good weapon for beginners; it's really hard to master.

Experienced players, however, can definitely get instant kills with Riot One. This makes the revolver the perfect companion for almost close-range loading.

Tier B Weapons

Mammoth MK1

  • Type: Shotgun
  • Headshot Damage: 7-8
  • Bodily damage: 6-7
  • Charger: 5-9

Like in other royales and battle shooters, shotguns can be very effective weapons at close range, but Mammoth also works quite well at range using a scope.

Of course, the spread increases at a distance and therefore reduces the weapon's overall damage. But that's offset by its heavy-duty magazine, which gives you more shots to hit opposing players.

The only downside to the shotgun is its inconsistent accuracy, but when things get tighter up close, your chance to hit increases dramatically anyway. With this, it simply increases much more.

Protocol V

  • Type: sniper rifle
  • Headshot Damage: 75-120
  • Bodily damage: 50-67
  • Charger: 3

Protocol V is probably the most controversial weapon in Hyper Scape. It has the highest damage per shot, allowing you to single-shot any enemy at any distance.

However, console gamers may have more than a few issues with its range and accuracy. Currently, it works much better on the PC version of the game, making it a go-to weapon on the platform.

Since Protocol V is completely useless at close range, you should combine it with a close range weapon, such as Riot One or Mammoth MK1. But players who exclusively play sniper could very well place Protocol V at the top of this tier list.

Skybreaker

  • Type: rocket launcher
  • Damage: 50-67
  • Charger: 1

Skybreaker is an energy rocket launcher that currently has no pushback and deals heavy environmental damage. It's slower than the rest of the weapons here, sure, but it could be perfect for raining down havoc on your opponents from above. Its charges are almost entirely silent, making the explosion completely surprising if your enemies don't see it coming.

The best part about Skybreaker is that it only requires a low skill level to perform well; it's perfect for beginners and veterans alike.
